ABCmouse Sight Words 80 Page Workbook, Paperback

I did not like how simple the book was. The pictures were really big and the concepts didn't match the age group. I ended up returning it. I wanted to like it and use it because we had the app at one time and my kids enjoyed it, but I didn't feel this book would prepare my son for kindergarten.

Overall, I am really happy with the ABCmouse Reading sight words workbook. It has 80 pages in the book, which is a great amount! I love that it comes with stickers as a bonus. The activities are fun to do and have nice illustrations. The instructions are all easy to follow and I love how they are another great way to help with the child with reading before getting into the activity on the workbook page. The book is a great size and is easy to use on a desk or a small lap desk. The pages seem pretty average in thickness so we stuck with using pencil on the pages just in case it bled through. The text is a great size to easily be able to read and I loved that there were writing activities and coloring activities. I think this would work well for multiple children as well because you could easily pull the pages out of the book and use them on their own. This is great for at home activities for the parents to give their children, or it could be used at school for a teacher to use for their students. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that needs a little help with reading, in a fun way!

My son loves his new workbook. He gets to color pictures while learning his words as well. I also like how it has different activities for him to do instead of just the coloring. The book is also of good quality, the covers are durable enough as well as the inside pages. I would definitely look into buying more similar to this.

The ABCmouse Reading Sight Words Workbook was perfect for my six-year-old (first grader). I was concerned with his learning since not physically being in school since March. We used to have the ABCmouse learning app in the past on their tablets so my both my children were excited to open it and start reading it. It's filled with “Paint-by-Sight Words,” sight word recognition through circling them in sentences, writing practice, mini word searches, crosswords and two pages of sticker sheets. The stickers were a great way to get my son to finish a worksheet. I told him he'd get one with each page he'd finish (we've been doing at least 1 a day). This is a great workbook and I would recommend it to parents who teach their kids from home. This would be an excellent add-on to what children are currently learning in school. My son is going back to school this fall with having Wednesdays being from home and “independent” learning. We are going to continue to use this workbook during those days to continue to expand his vocabulary and spelling.

This book is great for the “new normal” of doing school online. On weekends we do activities out of this book and sometimes I make copies of pages to have extras . It really does help with learning
