Abreva Docosanol 10% Cream Pump, FDA Approved Treatment for Cold Sore/Fever Blister, 2 grams

I have used Abreva in the tube packaging over the years but when I saw the pump version I thought it would be a better delivery system. I am disappointed. The plunger on the pump is not a smooth process. You have to press hard to get it to work and when it does you get too much Abreva. My suggestion is to stay with the tube version where you can control the amount you actually need. It's too expensive to waste product.

I have been getting cold sores all my life; dealing with bullying at school, feeling insecure, not wanting to go out... these are things that I associated to having a cold sore BEFORE Abreva. Abreva shortens healing time exponentially, showing quick results upon first application. I swear by applying Abreva 3-4 times a day and within 2 days my cold sore is already in the healing stage. Thank you for creating a product that makes cold sores less scary.....

I give the pump ZERO stars, but the product in the pump gets 5 stars. Until recently I only used the traditional packaging that looks like a tiny toothpaste tube. I thought it would be more convenient to have a pump to dispense the product. I thought that it would dispense a measured amount and be less messy. I was wrong on both accounts. The pump does not work sometimes, and when it does work it shoots out a LARGE amount and ends up being quite messy. I am not happy with the pump and will not be buying it again. The tube is much easier to control and makes far less of a mess.

If I use Abreva cream at the first sign of soreness or tingling, many times the sore will never even fully develop. When a sore does actually develop, consistent use of Abreva helps me get rid of it in just a few days EVERY TIME! Thank you for such an awesome product Abreva!

I love this product! When I get a cold sore it is a 3 week process that is super painful and embarassing. Nothing works accept letting it take its course. 1 week ago I woke up with the beginnings of a bump and I knew what it was right away. I immediatelty ran to the store and picked up a tube. I used it according to the directions and on day 3 it was dried up and scabbing. Here I am a week later and the area is a little pink with a very small scab. I am a believer and fan!!!! Thank you for such an awesome product!!!!!
