It fits and it does the job. Its better than son that I have bought.
This thumb stabilizer works as intended and helps relieve pain in the thumb and hand. The strap for the thumb should be wider to attach better.
I have so many good things to say about this brace!! I have had far more experiences with OTC bracing than I'd like to have had, and it is highly unusual for me to be so impressed and satisfied with one, that I buy it more than once, and have almost all great things to say about it!!! I have arthritis in both my MCP & CMC joints, and DeQuarvain's Tenosynovitis, atop of my Ehler Danlos Syndrome Type 3. (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome is a rare, genetic condition) (and, for me, some of the wrist & thumb issues it causes are: extreme thumb hyperextension, hypermobility, as well as frequent subluxations, and dislocations of both my thumb, and wrist). I have bought this brace a couple times now, and I really, really like it! It is great for many situations. IE) Days that I need more of a compression support for my wrist along with some thumb stabilization. Need some support & stabilization for my tumb and wrist, but don't require as much as my hard splints, and spica splints give. For activities such as writing, crafting, sewing, crocheting, typing, etc., where I need the support, but also require some range of mobility - which, is something that my other splints don't offer, or offer easily. It's also great for days that I want or need the fact that I'm wearing a brace to be more subtle, and / or professional. The only real issue that I have with this brace, is the Velcro at the top of the thumb. I have always had a very hard time trying to find the correct tightness and positioning of it, for my needs, that doesn't result in cutting off my circulation. I feel that if the Velcro were just a little bit wider, that that would help this issue quite a bit. (I do have many different needs due to my genetic condition, than the vast majority of people who use this brace, though). Overall, I really like this brace, and love having it in my 'collection' as an option! I highly recommend this to anyone looking into a thumb & wrist stabilizer – it's a great product, long lasting, and won't break the bank! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This is a moderate stabilizer as described. The only issue I encountered was the band that goes around your wrist is hard to remove due to the Velcro used to secure it in place. It is hard to pull the Velcro off with one hand and it won't release easily. Just needs some tweaking on the closure design. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
when i smashed my thumb a couple months ago i could not move it. i tried wrapping it with a wrap but this did not work at all my finger hurt worse than when nothing was on it and i could still move it around to much. i bought ace thumb stabilizer and wow it done just what i needed it to my thumb was protected and i did not scream every time i bumped it i will remember next time to buy the proper ace bandage.
