The M1 works as described. The software needs some attention. There is only the ability to start and stop and change the direction of the M1. Aiper needs to add the ability to run the skimmer for a certain period of time or on a schedule. This simple software edition could easily be pushed out to all three models.

I have used this for about 2 weeks now, only charged it when I first got it and haven't had to charge since. I run it all day everyday, put it in around 8 am and take out about 7 pm, stays charged by the solar panel. It picks up great! On a windy day I've cleaned it out multiple times and keeps picking up whatever the wind blows In. The only problem I've had is with it getting stuck in the skimmer. I have to give it a push sometimes, I plan on fixing a pool noodle above the skimmer so it will bounce away, the app doesn't work great other than telling you what the charge level is.

Love this for my above ground pool. love that it is solar charged. ive had it for just over a month and still have not have had to use the power charger. i let it run constantly. helped clear my pool of foam overnight when I was fighting algea and the chemicals foamed on top. I would have been scooping for hours. I purchased the extended warranty! definately a great purchase. do suggest running it with the filter off else it will get stuck at the skimmer. it does get hung up on my stairs but ut eventually clears up.

Really want to like it, got a great deal on it, but it constantly gets stuck on our simmer. I've constantly lowered the pump so it's less than half strength and still it keep getting stuck, its object avoidance is poor and it never tried anything other than sitting there getting stuck, even after I dislodge it half the time it then immediately does a circle back to get stuck again. So now it's jamming my actual skimmer rather than actually working along with it. Also means you can't have an auto vacuum with it as the hose is yet another thing it will get stuck on, since it's not smart enough to avoid objects or to try and maneuver itself free. The other thought I had would be to run it at night when the pump is off to better supplement that way. But there's no way to schedule it at all, which just seems really dumb and such an easy fix to implement. Also Bluetooth connection doesn't connect half the time, and the app is very poor at showing and updating, often saying it's stuck for several minutes after I free it, or saying it's paused when it isn't.

I've only used it a week,but so far, it has been super easy, and every day, i walk out to a beautifully clean, no bugs, no leaves floating pool. The skimmers' solar chargers make it so handsfree, no worries about checking it for battery, takes care of itself.
