it didnt even come off the ground it was horrable
This was a Christmas gift for my 3 year year old. With just a few days of play, one of the propellers broke in half. Took back to Wal-Mart and did not get another one.
Thought the cage would make it more durable. Nope. Bought 2 one broke within minutes.
My son is 12 and flew this helicopter once before the plastic propeller snapped in half. Very upset.
Like others have stated, this heli has issues with braking. Previously, in November, I purchased an Air Hogs Havoc Stiker for $19.88 at Walmart. It lasted about a week, and then the stabilizer broke after many uses and many crashes. After that, I decided to purchase the Heli Cage, thinking it would be a little more durable. We got it home, carefully unpackaged it, adjusted the cage to properly protect the heli, installed NEW Energizer Batteries, and patiently waited for a full charge. Once the charge was complete, we set it on the floor and gave it small adjustments till it was airborn. It flew up to about a foot, and then fell to the ground. Upon inspection the main propeller was damaged. A whole chunk of it had just up and dissappeared. Our conclusion is that the cage and the propeller made contact and the propeller took the damage. That's that. Although the actual Heli might be sturdy DO NOT USE THE CAGE!!! We have no idea if it would have been without it, since we didn't get a chance to try. I don't care about the extended warranty and available replacement parts, if the cage happens to be useless. Why put it there in the first place, for TWICE the cost! Solution: We went and purchased another Havoc Striker, and we couldn't be happier. I'd rather pay $20 a week for Havoc Striker, than $40 per 5min on a Heli Cage. Hopefully, we've learned some flying lessons and the Havoc Striker will last us longer second time around. Enjoy.
