Air Hogs, Vectron Wave, Yellow/Blue

My daughter got a similar toy for Christmas and the boys were so in awe of it I looked for something similar for a birthday present-without the pink tutu. I happened on this and it is awesome! Less expensive and much for fun. I want to play with it too!!! It's sturdy, can do tricks and fun to learn. It can catch your finger so be careful, but no permanent injuries.

I received the Air HOgs Vectron Wave for free in a buzz kint form BuzzAgent.com, When I first received it, me and my boys ages 15 and 9 opened the box, was a little disapointed because it needed 6 AA batteries and I did not have any at the time. I few days later wen i rembered to stop and get batteries me and the boys placed the battires in the charger waited about 5 mins. or so for it to charge, it was a little hard to control at first because your controll it with your hand, but it did not take my boys long to figure it out. They had it flying all over house all night. Even my oldest boy(aka my husband) played with it for a while he loved it. The only thing is that the charge does not last very long. I will be buying a few Air HOgs Vectron Waves for Christmas for my nephews for christmas. Thanks great toy!!!

We own another Air Hogs product, a super zippy remote control car that my son has loved since he was 4 (he is now 8). It still works, although we've had to dislodge some pet hair from the wheels. It charges fast. So, we were pretty excited to try this too. You've got to have some coordination to work this thing and I think the flight patterns are a bit chaotic (so be careful), it's plastic though, so if you get clobbered by it, it's not really painful. I wouldn't suggest this toy for a kid under 8 unless they are really coordinated (my son is not). Our cats like to stare at this thing when we play with it. It's also great to use indoors when the weather is not so good to keep kids entertained and off video games! Over-all this thing is fun, different and we like it. I hope it lasts as long as the remote control car MFG'd by the same company. I really wish this brand would make me a remote control boat, maybe they do make those...I'm going to look now I received this product to try from the company. I did not receive payment for trying it.

When this toy first came in the mail they were all thrilled to try it out and see how it worked. However, I did not have the 6 AA batteries that were required for the charging station so we had to wait a few days until I went shopping and bought the batteries. The instruction that come with this product are slightly vague, but they can be understood. Once you plug your Air Hog Vectron Wave into the charging station it takes under 30 minutes for it to charge. One charge of this product will give your children roughly ten minutes of fly time. Now that our Air Hog Vectron Wave was all charged my kids wanted to try it out, so we powered it up and boy is this toy pretty cool! All you need it a hand to hold under it and you can direct the toy to go where you want it to. My kids had a really fun time passing it from hand to hand. That being said they weren't overly interested in this toy, and after a few minutes only my youngest son was still playing with it. It's not a bad toy, but it definitely loses its appeal after a little bit. However, I have one concern about this product. On the charging station there is a big red button that you can press to stop the spinning blades on this toy. It doesn't really work and as a result my kids' fingers did get a little beat up. Of course this toy is made of plastic so it didn't hurt them but still... it's something worth noting.

We received this toy as part of a promotion from Air Hogs. I will say this toy is definitely worth 5 stars for all the attention my children get while using it. It is so interesting the way it hovers over your hand or foot. Reminds me of Back to the Future. I could not charge this fast enough - my kids were waiting quite anxiously and since we were at the campground, so were other kids. With the charge only lasting about 10 minutes not everyone was able to get a turn. Although it charges pretty quickly several children actually gave up waiting for their turn. That will go away in time when friends are not as intrigued. This is a great product but if the battery could last at least an hour - after that my kids are generally moving on to something else anyway and reliability of the red button.
