I bought one of these and thought it would be great. At first it was. The longer I had this the worse it got. It would play the radio fine, and my phone fine. If you used the device with a SD card it would play one song, shut off, and begin looking for the card. It would also get hot the longer that it was used. The formats used for this were also useless. Everything had to be formatted just to fit it, and then most of the time items still would not work.

After searching for some time for a new alarm clock I stumbled across this Philips one and decided to take a risk and buy it. What a great deal! I had no idea it would be so cool until I saw it for my very eyes; great features like auto dimming and two separate alarm functions make it do all I need. The alarm sounds themselves are limited but all very nice (I use the forest sounds and it wakes me up less suddenly which is nice for a change). As far as photos go I was a little disappointed it didn't have a small capacity SD Card included but I borrowed the one from my Wii and it showed the JPEG photos (only supported format, not sure why) all on its own. Setup was easy but there is a noticeable delay/lag between button presses and the action on the screen but it's not that huge a deal. Resolution is a bit low... but for the price I wasn't expecting an HDTV and it is very vivid none the less. At any rate this is a sweet item and a welcome addition to my nightstand.

Value means what you get for the money and there is no better value than this. Selling for $130 at Target this is now $49 at walmart.com! And it's simply loaded with features. I got it with the 2-GB Kodak SD-card and loaded it with lots of sci-fi pix and some mellow mp3's to sleep by. The dual alarms are great, one for weekdays and the other for weekends. The resolution for the 7" lcd is fine if your picture is hi-res and not a downloaded thumbnail. And it's also great that you can set the display to be off through the night but if you need to you can touch the top-bar to turn it on for 5-secs. Nicely thought out features.

I got this on sale, so I think the price was right. It is a cool alarm clock and the features seem to be as advertised. The screen is not the greatest, but you don't get high res for cheap, still good enough for my alarm clock. Easy to use as well. Wish it had built in wifi for auto time download, weather, that sort of thing, oh well... Overall I think most people will like it.

I am really impressed with this unit for the price. If you are looking for a great clock/radio, digital frame and media player for your desk, look no further cause this is the one. I plugged in a USB flash drive with photos and some mp3 music and the frame began displaying the photos in the frame next to the clock automatically. Pressing the "Music" button lets me listen to any of the mp3 songs while still having the clock and photo frame on screen. There are a couple of shotcomings with the product, but they don't really affect me that much. Every time the unit loses power, you have to reset the date/time. If you are using it for an alarm clock, that could be a huge problem. You can't load any photos or music to the device as it only plays what is on the memory cards (SD Card or USB Drive) you plug into it. Video playback is always displayed in full screen (distorted) even if you set the photo display to normal instead of widescreen. A counter is always displayed on scrren when displaying a video which is really distracting and spoils the video and there is no way to turn that off. Since that is not a feature I intend to use much it isn't a big deal, but what a shame Phillips engineers didn't think about all of these little details when they designed the product. Overall for photos and music on the desk it is a great value.
