This product is not washer dryer friendly. The care instructions said it can be washed and dried in machine but after first wash it came out all stuck together. When I tried to pull it apart it ripped and made tiny holes in the fabric rendering it useless against bed bugs. Waste of money

We found 1 bed bug on our comforter and that day I immediately went to Walmart and bought the queen size cover for our mattress. I read the reviews saying that it ripped easily, so I made sure to have my husband help me put it on the bed and we were very careful, and did not experience any problems. My mother-in-law purchased an extra one to cover our boxspring too, and we have had no more bed bug evidence since covering the mattress and boxspring. My mother-in-law bought mattress & box spring covers for her room at Bed, Bath & Beyond, and I felt like the ones she bought for her room were better quality, but it was about $70 for the mattress cover & $80 for the boxspring cover. I think if you have the $$ to spend on the nicer ones, than go with the nicer ones, but if you don't have the $$ then I think this would be sufficient. Just be careful when you're putting it on and taking it out of the box and I think you'll be fine. My mother-in-law also bought the pillow protectors for all our rooms, and even bought twin size ones for my kids room, and they've worked out fine. They are a little bigger than the mattress but I think that is to make taking it on and off easier, I don't find it uncomfortable at all.

I bought a queen size cover when we first discovered a possible bed bug infestation and put it on that night. It went on easily even on our very thick mattress, but we had to pull the cover off so that the mattress could be treated when the exterminator came. When I went to put it back on, I noticed two tears near the zipper, AND that the teeth of the zipper itself had pulled apart, making it impossible to zip. So essentially I wasted $41 on something that I used for two nights. ENORMOUS waste. Now I'm stuck looking for a different kind of cover which will probably cost even more.

I was thankful the covers came quickly, and most grateful that they solved my problems. I am so confident now that my bed bugs crises is solved and that the mattress covers are sturdy and barriers for future infestation... no way can a bug of any kind bury itself in my mattress, either getting in or getting out if by chance any survived the chem treatments. I sincerely urge any one with or without bugs now to get these super mattress covers. You will definitely sleep well ...and bug free.

I purchased a similar product from a pest company and I paid double per item. When my wife told me the price at Walmart I said buy it cause it was a steal. I was a bit aprehensive due to the fact we are currently in major infestation mode and it is critical that these work without rips. I have a double pillow top bed and the critters are everywhere. I put this on the Queen myself and that mattress was heavy. My 5 year old was steady talking at me during the entire process. I am not going to be critical of other people in this review but at this price and for the peace of mind of not being bit at night, I would buy two at this price. Thanks. Oh I also did two twins and all the pillow with the protectors. No rips or tears, good quality and yes - I did measure the mattresses before buying the products.
