Allergy Waterproof Durable Mattress Protector

This mattress cover is great just for everyday use on mattress. But DO NOT wash in machine. And DO NOT PUT IN DRYER. To do so, this product will come apart. The best thing to do for cleaning is wipe off with cold wash cloth when cover gets dirty or just replace with new one. It's disposable. But it does work with people who have allergy problems, as I do.

This protective covering has done the job for us for the past 2 years. I like that it totally encases the mattress and zips closed. we have a double pillow-top and it still fits. HOWEVER, from rolling and moving around in our sleep, the cover has totally deteriorated even after flipping the mattress a few times. the material sort of wears away and becomes a thin layer of fuzz from frequent use. Other covers are more expensive and more of an investment but may save you money in the long-run.

The matress protector from Walmart is less expensive than a similar one if bought from furniture stores. It is also not hard to fit on the matresses. However, it has no elasticity therefore a poor fitting to a given matress (I bought one king and one queen sized). I returned one of them as I simply could not stand the sound of plastic when resting on it (tried both sides of the protector). I ended up buying a memory foam top over the protector to isolate the sound. Buy this product if you have someone at home who may need wetproof surface.

We purchased this item to put on our 12" Calif King Memory foam mattress. Since the mattress was new also we put the cover on before the foam had fully grown to its full size which made it easier. The cover doesn't look fancy but it does the job and will protect our mattress for a long time.

Read other reviews and decided to purchase this product in the store - it is great - Slipped right on a new twin size mattress with no problems. I would recommend it - and I am thinking on buying one for a queen size bed too.
