Allergy Waterproof Durable Mattress Protector

This protective covering has done the job for us for the past 2 years. I like that it totally encases the mattress and zips closed. we have a double pillow-top and it still fits. HOWEVER, from rolling and moving around in our sleep, the cover has totally deteriorated even after flipping the mattress a few times. the material sort of wears away and becomes a thin layer of fuzz from frequent use. Other covers are more expensive and more of an investment but may save you money in the long-run.

The matress protector from Walmart is less expensive than a similar one if bought from furniture stores. It is also not hard to fit on the matresses. However, it has no elasticity therefore a poor fitting to a given matress (I bought one king and one queen sized). I returned one of them as I simply could not stand the sound of plastic when resting on it (tried both sides of the protector). I ended up buying a memory foam top over the protector to isolate the sound. Buy this product if you have someone at home who may need wetproof surface.

This is NOT what I wanted and looked for. I was looking for a product made by Pillowtex that was a quilted looking mattresspad that that had sides the same as the top and fit like a bottom/fitted sheet AND was hypo alergenic . The photo was Not of a good enough size and clearity to determine and after placing a phone call I was led to believe this was what I was looking for . It was not but if you wanted a pad that completely covers a mattress , is plastic/water proof then this might be for you./

Mattress cover was very easy to put on as long as one is careful not to pull and tug too much. Has ample room to fit mattress easily. Seems very durable with proper care. The value is good compared to what one would pay for the same type of product when ordering by mail through a company specializing in allergy control products. Those are typically well over $200.

Read other reviews and decided to purchase this product in the store - it is great - Slipped right on a new twin size mattress with no problems. I would recommend it - and I am thinking on buying one for a queen size bed too.
