Almay Makeup Remover + Cream Cleanser, 4.5 fl oz

The product works as it advertises. It cleans your face, removed excess oils, dirt and make-up. It's a moisturizing clean though. Not like a stripped clean feeling; which is what I prefer in a cleanser. That's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. It's a personal preference and some people may like a cleanser and moisturizer in one. Which is what this product feels like on your face. It has a frothy lather and light rice scent. Not an offensive smell, just very light. Not what you would expect in a cleanser. Would be perfect for dry skin, as it leaves a silky residue behind after you wash it off that eventually soaks into the skin. No greasy or shinny feel.

Now this cleanser works well, and I like it. Now I would not proclaim it's the best product ever, but it is pretty good. I do not normally wear makeup daily. I usually just wear it once a week or on special occasions. I like having good products that work well to keep my skin clean and fresh. This product did what I needed it to do, and left me pleased with the results. The first thing I noticed about this product is the consistency. It looks and feels more like lotion than soap. I loved that about it. It was hard to believe It was a skin cleaning product at first. It has a rich, creamy consistency that feels really smooth on the skin. It leaves my skin feeling super silky. I did not like the fragrance much. It was ok. However, I like a more delightful, distinctive smell. One that's a little more soothing. This cleanser is good and will work well for you.

I love this cleanser. I have very sensitive skin and am allergic to most face cleansers, washes, and makeup removers. Thank you Almay for making a product that is hypoallergenic that is both a makeup remover and cream cleanser! I love that when I use this product it removes my long-wearing lipstick and waterproof mascara. Most importantly, I love that it leaves my skin feeling soft, moisturized, and refreshed. It is one of the few products that I can use that does not cause my skin to turn red, splotchy, or break out in hives. I cannot recommend this cleanser enough! If you have dry to normal skin, give this cleanser a try!

While this is a functional facial cleanser, it does not suds up at all. Even after rubbing hands together, we couldn't get much "foam" out of it. It is more like washing your face with cream However it did remove the dirt. I'm just not sure how much better it works than soap. Both my and my daughter's skin was left smooth, not dry. We don't wear makeup, so I cannot attest to whether it is effective on removing make up. We tried several of the Almay line of products, as daughter is getting to the point she will need to use facial cleaning products, but none have been great. Overall, while it worked well enough to use, it is not a product I would spend much money on, as it just does not work that much better than soap.

I feel like I am always on search for the next, best make- up remover. When I wash my face, I want it to feel cleansed, and not dried out. I got this product because I wanted to try something that was richer, creamer, and less soapy. This felt more like I was putting on a moisturizer and less like I was washing my face to remove make-up. It is very, very creamy. I guess creamy can be a good thing but when I wash my face, I'm expecting lather, bubbles. This was also a bit difficult to rinse. I read the directions several times to make sure I was using it correctly. I will say that my face was not dried out after using the cleanser. It was hypoallergenic and did not cause breakouts. Overall it was a good product it but too creamy for a make-up remover.
