Almay shadow squad eye shadow, ambition

I've always liked Almay eye shadows, so I was excited to fine these quad collections. True to Almay's reputation for being hypo-allergenic, this one doesn't cause any irritation to my sensitive eyes. The collection is basically one tone, with increasing amounts of 'frost' or sparkle, ranging from one matte tone right up to a fairly glittery one. However, having ordered based of a photo online, I was a little disappointed. The photo looked fairly peachy/pink, and what I got is very neutral beige. In fact, it's so neutral that I couldn't even see it on my fair skin. I guess it will be alright when I want a 'nude' effect, with just the highlight from one of the shiny tones. Overall, I wouldn't recommend buying these shadows online. Go to the store, where you can see the colors in person.

This is Almay eye shadow in ;Cause A Stir'. This is a monochrome color. It contains four shades of brown. This is a neutral color so different skin tones can use it. There is one color done in four ways, matte,metallic, satin and glitter. Let me say right off that i don't use eye shadow often. But I will try this out and see how it goes. I tried the matte brown color. It went on smooth,no tugging. I used a q-tip because they didn't include an applicater in with the shadows. I wore it on an outing with my sisters,but no one seem to notice. I don't think it done much for me, Maybe a different color for me. This color might look better on a different skin tone.

The good: bold color and I did not have an issue with it wearing off but I do use an eyeshadow base from U****n D***y. The bad: I don't really see the appeal of the 4 different squares with a different amount of shimmer. They didn't look different when I tried to use more than one at a time. Also no applicator included.Fun color and nice quality but not something I would buy again, I would prefer 4 different colors.

What I found appealing about this product is that it says you get the matte, satin, glitter, and metallic version of the same color. I thought that'd be nice for making interesting eye shadow combinations. However, the color doesn't really show up on my eyelids. I have fair/light skin and green eyes, and my daughter has olive skin and dark brown eyes, and the 4 eye shadow variations of tan/light brown didn't show up very well for either of us. To try and make the color show on your lids, you'd most likely want to use your finger (as opposed to an eye shadow brush) or an eye shadow primer.
