Alpine Corporation 4100GPH Hurricane Heavy-Duty Water Pump

Hurricane Heavy-Duty Pump by Alpine is a great pump. Right now, it's being used as a sub-pump to drain an old fish pond. After we get the pond cleaned, it will be used for the new fish pond. I am pleased with the Alpine Hurricane pump. The performance is great and very quiet.

Have not completed permanent installation but did test. Has very good capacity and flow is strong enough for good lift capacity. Great feature is the extra long electric cord that eliminates the need for an extension cord in many installations. Can't wait to see it work in waterfall.

This is a pretty big pump I tried for my rain water barrel. The don't want stagnant water so this thing is great for keeping the water moving and deterring bugs like mosquitoes. First off the length of the cord is perfect for me. It is pretty long and reaches my grounded electric plug outside. I'm glad I don't have to use an extension cord. The plug that you hook up to your water feature/ cascade/ waterfall is adjustable. It was still too big for my application so I had to get some parts from the hardware store, not a big deal at all. Works great and is super strong. I absolutely love it. It is definitely not for a small fountain, I do want to hook a medium size hose and run it through my koi fish eventually. It's just way to cold now. Definitely recommend this for a large size fountain or pond.

I use this Alpine Corporation 2100GPH Hurricane Heavy-Duty Pump in a horse trough. The trough catches rain water and I use the rain water to water my garden. The flow rate is more than adequate for what I need. It will siphon out even when not in use so be careful with that.
