Alta Health Magnesium Chloride, 100 Tablets

I have learned, now, to double check that a pill is coated. This one is not and it makes me gag...if you don't swallow it in a nanosecond it'll start melting in your mouth & leaving a nasty taste. My body has gotten so paranoid about this taste that I now have developed a gag reflex when I take this supplement! ;(

The Alta Magnesium Chloride is one of the very few mineral based magnesium products and not plant based. The only problem is the platter shape and the tablets need a coating since they are super hydroscopic and must be kept in a pill container separate from other vitamins. The tablets flake quickly forming a sticky layer on any other vitamins and on hands.

I counted the tablets into my pill organizer. The organizer is divided into 7 days, and has an am and pm section. So a pill a day. The tablets started to disintegrate after one day, and caused the other pills in the section to disintegrate. Plus it tastes terrible if the tablet doesn't go down on the first swallow.

I have been taking this to help with my back pain. I usually take this every night since this really makes me sleepy. For some it did not have any sleepy effect, but I guess it really depends on the one taking it. It actually tastes really bad but it does a lot of help for me. It has also helped taken the pain away which for me is much more important, regardless of the taste. I also read that taking magnesium is important in the production of energy for our body. It also improves our muscles, bone health as well as kidney. This is a great buy I just hope thay can make one in capsule instead.

It is really great for insomnia! I started taking this on my doctor's recommendation because of my sleep disorder. I have tried so many RX medicine for my insomnia but always had a rebound effect once they stopped working for me. I tried taking 2 of these every night. I guess they are the reason why I feel relaxed the moment I try to have some sleep. It is also great for headaches, migraines, and restless leg syndrome. Good luck to all who use it. I strongly recommend this to people who are having the same problem. I'm still using this supplement every day and my general health seems better. Definitely a must have!
