Received dented. Rattled and clanged every time I turned it on and off
Do not buy this air conditioner!! I bought it in June and by the end of July it wasn't blowing cool air or dehumidifying. To top it off, when they delivered it they dropped it by the side of the road in a rain storm. I'm disabled and my driveway is 150 yards long. Terrible service. Terrible product.
BYER BE WARE This unit worked fine for 2 months then just shut off. I was told by Walmart to call the mfg. as it had a 1 year warranty. The worst company ever to deal with. They refused to fix or repair the unit. They said it needed a dedicated 115 electric. Thank god I bought the extended warranty from Walmart. They will pick up the unit and charge it back to their customer.
I remember helping with the installation of Amana heat pumps years ago. Had to go to the HVAC supply store to get them and the window unit also. Surprised me that Walmart sells them now. The only thing I don't like is it's not made for old mobile home windows.
this is the second time it happened. same unit. second time in a row. I don't understand why UPS can't deliver things undamaged, or the manufacturer doesn't see how it makes sense to build a stronger box so it doesn't get damaged, anyway, now I have to become a delivery driver and take it back to the Walmart store without having air conditioning like I was hoping for the hottest time of the year. this is great. can't really blame Walmart. they're trying, but between the week boxes from the manufacturer, and UPS going out of their way to damage these items, I hope Walmart gets reimbursed
