AmeriGas Propane Tank Exchange, 20 Lbs.

Not price competitive. Big box store across the street is actually cheaper. Not convenient. Have to find the one person in the store who has the key. Then, the propane is at the other end of the store. Big box store is at the entrance and they call someone and it is handled. Never again. Oh, and many products are cheaper at the big box store (Menards). Why shop at Walmart?

Trying to buy propane gas is a real pain, First went to garden center to purchase was told to go self check out to purchase then was told to go to a real cashier as they have the upc codes. Waited after a huge cart was gone then was told to customer service as they have the code - got to customer service waited again and when it was my turn was told that a cashier must - I then said STOP a cashier sent me here. Let me pay here or I want to see a manager. They somehow figured out how to purchase gas. Then they told me they have find the person with the keys. Ten minutes later got my gas. Question: why garden can not have a bar code for gas as they call call who ever has the keys. This is the second time as the first was done at self checkout. I think next time I'll go to Menards. $20 a tank was high.

Nothing about the canister it's self. But the purchase of it was zero stars. The Garden Center guys were outside moving stuff around. They couldn't be bothered to help out. I couldn't take the empty can inside so I had to leave it outside by the door for anyone who wanted to walk away with it. Then I had to wonder around the store to find a casher that know how to do the swap. Go back out to ask the garden guys yet again for help. That didn't go well. Won't be back for a new one again. Lots of other place have them.

had to exchange my tank one night because it was too late to get it filled and the tank that I got as an exchange for mine was expired and I can't get it filled anywhere so far I've had to keep exchanging the tanks and everyone I gotten has expired in 2023 which means I have to keep exchanging them because you can't get them filled if they're expired

It is not convenient to exchange a bottle for a new full bottle. You cannot bring bottle with you, so go inside. Waite in line to pay, then. Wait for someone who wants to help you or has the key. Go back to car to get bottle and WAIT for employee to open cage and find a full bottle,
