Apple Watch SE 2nd Generation (GPS) 40mm Aluminum Case with Denim Sport Band - S/M - Silver - (2024)

It's an Apple watch. I expected quality, and I got it. Walmart had it for less than others, but not such a ridiculous reduction that I suspected a scam. It came in regular packaging and doesn't look to be refurbished. I've had it for over a year now, and still find it helpful. BTW, if you are a senior, you could be helped by the fall alert that will call 911 if you fall, (after giving you a chance to cancel the call.) I like that the band doesn't stick out to get caught on things, but is tucked in. There is a learning curve for advanced uses, but go to youtube and you will find lots of easy tutorial videos to help you through. Basic use doesn't require so much, once it's set up.

My Google ecosystem has broken down (according to Gemini, which can make mistakes so double check it) due to the change from Assistant to Gemini, which isnt finished yet. My home pod was confusing, and became a paperweight since chnaging our network. Gemini said they current "dont shake hands" anymore. I didn't realize there were so many snags (frog in pot) until I began using this watch again, with no snags except with the new phone defaulting to my old ipod mini, which probably has an option somewhere to change but for now it's just unplugged. I did like the round watch very much, but this is smaller and so that makes it better to me. The Apple is more responsive and more accurate than my previous watch. I can turn alarms off from the watch instead of having to go to the phone. The only way to do that on my other watch was to program the alarm into the watch itself, not the phone. It had gotten frustrating keeping track of which alarms were which, and stopping what I was doing to go find my phone was annoying. I was most impressed by the silliest thing. I used to complain that the other system never said "you're welcome" to any automatic "thank you." I chuckled when I forgot myself and said "thank you" to Siri. Siri responds with : you're welcome, or my pleasure, etc. Yes, silly, but contributes to the impression overall.

This is my second time purchasing the Apple Watch SE. The first one lasted me almost 3 years of daily use before I broke it and I loved it so much I just bought it again! I like that this model is affordable, yet still contains all of the features I need in an Apple Watch. I use it to track my daily workouts, steps, task reminders, cooking timers, you name it. I don't really miss the features it doesn't have, like the blood oxygen monitor. Overall, I'd recommend this watch to any budget conscious person as a great value over the more expensive models. The only drawback is durability- you almost certainly need protection. I took a broken screen protector off of my old watch before I had a replacement protector and the watch was shattered the very same day-hence the new watch.

I'm a huge tech nerd and love Apple's products despite their proprietary use. After plenty of research, this seemed best for my girlfriend because she doesn't do anything crazy or require what the series 10 or ultra does. She regularly tracks her health stats on her iphone and has to take work calls and respond to texts while driving. I wanted to get her something more accessible, safe, and accurate. She's loved it so much ever since putting it on and loves the sleep tracking, cycle tracking, remote alarm and camera control, text messaging, and being able to play a sound to find her phone. The battery lasts about 2 days and has a low power mode. It's made her life much easier and I highly recommend it to those wanting one for regular daily use. Great for price.

I'd been wanting an Apple Watch forever, and when this one went on sale I finally decided to treat myself. I know this is an older model, but it's still incredible what such a tiny device can do. I'm already using it to track my daily walk and do the meditation exercises. Be aware that if you have chunky wrists like I do, the S/M band will not fit. But the loops are easy to find and more comfortable anyway. And I wish the battery life were better.
