I could tell that these were made from a higher quality of meat because there was a mild sweetness that you don't normally get. Not a sugary sweetness at all, it was more a richness from the meat itself. It was like the pepperoni from the small neighborhood farms when I was a kid. The texture was wonderful and the spices were perfectly balanced. This pepperoni was low grease, but still had enough fats for baking. When used on a homemade pizza, it exceeded my expectations. It stayed soft and tender with excellent flavor. Highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super tasty pepperoni, you can definitely tell the difference between the normal store-brand I usually buy. And I love that it's humanely raised grass-fed beef with no antibiotics, preservatives, nitrates or nitrites. I try to eat as natural as possible so this is a huge bonus. It's of an equi8valent quality as the other higher-end deli meats you find in the refrigerated section in the grocery store, and the price is competitive with those brands as well, so I would likely buy Applegate Naturals again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this pepperoni with my little ones for a pizza day at home. I'm always looking for whole, natural ingredients in our food, especially in meat. I love that I can recognize all the ingredients and that the flavor isn't compromised. We cut them up into small pieces and sprinkled it all over the top of our pizzas! It was a hit with the kids.

Please bring back the old recipe. We tried to like the new recipe, we really did, but we just couldn't. It simply doesn't taste like pepperoni. I'm not a fan of the added sugar either.
