Arrow Fastener TR550 Professional Lever Feed Glue Gun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first I was skeptical reading other reviews but I must say this is one great product. This glue gun idoles the job above and beyond. Almost no drip, good heat and good amount of glue. On the change (add) of new glue stick, must be done right but with the right way it is just fine! I bought this for little home DIY projects and it's perfect! Also fun to use! I recommend this product to anybody who wants to upgrade from mini glue gun and for starters as well.

My TR550 has served me well in the last 8 months - it fits well in the hand, and the broad trigger lets me control the flow well. I use it on plastic, wood and at 380 degrees it heats up and holds well. The flip-down drip holder and stand could be a bit wider, but overall it's an excellent product - however, after 8 months of use probably once or twice a month it has stopped heating up at all. Is there a fuse or something inside i can change, as I love this gun!

This glue gun has been in production for decades. I bought mine over 30 years ago and it is still going strong. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that when flipped down, the stand is still not very stable. In every other respect, this is a perfect example of "Buy good or buy twice." One caveat: You must use 1/2" diameter glue sticks, not the 0.44" diameter sticks you find in some craft stores.

Need to add a glue stick before the initial stick is used this aggravating! Topples over and does Mot stand alone but states it will, thus got 2nd degree burns on hand while trying to retrieve the glue gun. Arrow has always been a really good product. Just not this particular one

I just bought this glue gun and AP 10-4 glue sticks and when I squeeze the trigger it doesn't grab the glue stick. I let it warm up for five minutes and it is melting the glue stick, but I have to manually push the stick with one hand and try to control the gun with the other hand. I have a lot of projects that I was planning to use this gun on, but not if it is going to be this aggravating!!!! Very disappointed in this product.
