Ok first off I had to get the controller because of the leaf design lol. I checked the other reviews and was skeptical but Im so glad I bought. It came with a usb cable to charge, as well as easy instructions on how to reset it from the back of the controller. The grips and finish on the controller are really nice, thumb sticks work just as well as the Sonys. This is definitely one of the better 3rd party controllers Ive tried. I dont know what happened to other customers, but they apparently have warranty on it as well. Im very happy with my purchase.
looks cool, most of the buttons work correctly. That's it for the good. All 4 analog directional buttons work if you smash you thumb on them which takes some getting used to. Also syncing the controller is a nightmare. You push the Playstation button in the middle to make the lights flash, but it doesn't connect to your system. You have to keep tapping and holding the button in some magical random order in order for you to register it as player 1 or 2 or whatever. You have to do this EVERY SINGLE TIME you turn the controller on!!! It's even worse when you combine this with the battery saver that turns off the controller after about 5 minutes of inactivity. I highly recommend shelling the extra money for a legit Playstation controller.
I brought the controller home and tried to dock it in the charging station I have for my other remote. I couldn't because the top of it is curved so it doesn't fit right. I now have to leave the charging cable in to continuously charge it. It makes me mad because I bought a wireless remote so I could have a wireless remote.
This controller works, just not very well. For games, it's very frustrating. First of all, it struggles to keep a signal if you're more than 4 feet away from the console. I normally don't sit that close to the TV so it's a constant battle to get any buttons to work consistently unless you are literally on top of the TV. It also likes to just turn off after 10-15 seconds of inactivity, which is annoying if you're playing games. Add to the fact that the joysticks are stiff and that it doesn't have SIXAXIS, and you're left with a mediocre gaming controller. On the other hand, it is cheap and surprisingly durable despite the issues above. In conclusion, if you're looking for a cheap controller and you just use the PS3 for movies, Netflix, etc., this controller is perfectly acceptable. If you need a controller for playing games, just suck it up and buy the real thing ;).
Look no more, this is a perfect wireless controller for your ps3! My husband and I kept looking for one for some time because the actual ps3 ones are super expensive before we just ran into this one while browsing and let me just say, it's just perfect! PLUS, you can pay $2.00 for protection from Walmart for up to 2 years, you just can't beat that!
