No paint or coating has been applied to the crate. Each crate is handmade & unique, and the natural features have been left intact. Pretty enough to dress up a space all on its own, and practical enough to be used for any number of storage purposes. The crate is durable, well crafted, and unlike actual vintage fruit crates, is clean and ready for storage. All of our packaging and much of our assembly is done by a job training program for special needs adults. Our products are naturally organic, entirely made of sustainably forested wood, much of it reclaimed or that would otherwise go to scrap. We are a small, family-owned business, making high quality, organic wood products for over 40 years.
