This item sucks bad home bais headset not charging and when in use headset goes blink.

I like the phone and it seems to work just fine, but it was not a new phone. The box was not sealed, though it looks like all the parts and pieces were there. It had 31 missed calls including from doctors offices. On it. It also had some test messages on the answering machine. Were keeping it because as I said, its a nice phone and hopefully will last. But it was not a new phone which is what we paid for.

Bought this for my 90 year old mother in law. She absolutely loves it. She can clearly see who's name and number are on the display screen but she doesn't really need it because the phone rings twice then it announces the name of the person who is calling, numerous times. That is a great feature for people who don't walk as fast as they used to. She doesn't have to rush to get to the phone, she can always call them back, knowing who it was. The ringer was actually too loud but easy to lower to her satisfaction. I definitely recommend this phone !

i had several phones..was not satisfied with any...then i ordered this one...it was on the order of my last one...little more expensive but worth it in the end. i recommend this one.

This telephone / answering machine combo is good for anyone, but especially for someone who is visually impaired. The handset buttons are large, as is the display text. Both are back-lighted. You can enter the number to be dialed before pushing <Phone> and each number is spoken back. The number is dialed when <Phone> is pressed. The phone can speak the caller ID for incoming calls. The answering machine optionally beeps every 10 seconds if a message is waiting, in addition to flashing the number of waiting messages. My main concern is that I'm not sure about handset battery life. The talk time specs are OK (up to 7 hours) but the battery pack is small and it takes a long time (12-15 hours) to fully charge. You will need to be sure the handset is returned to the base at least several hours each day; overnight would be best.
