Love the phone. Battery life is excellent. Great for videos and work. I hope Samsung designs a 8K laptop or desktop that would fit around there cell phones. Cellphone could operate the overall hardware. Also add a battery within the laptop or desktop to support the 8k screen or provide a charging station for your phone.
Got tons of lulz reading the 1 and 2 star reviews for this phone. I've had it for about a month and had zero issues. Most of the problems ppl seem to report are probably a result of old apps they transferred from other phones. In my experience the phone is almost perfect except for the narrow edges which while they make the screen look great also make the phone a drop hazard. this is easily fixed with a case though which is probably a worthwhile investment given the price of the phone. I've dropped this phone on pavement while running and had no damage even with a cheap case. Camera works great everytime. S pen is perfect. Phone never gets hot. Definitely worthwhile would love some open source options for the OS and apps. Some more creative default themes would also be nice specifically a dark theme. Also I hate that Google, Facebook, YouTube and other bloatware came preloaded. This was a pain to remove but is an unfortunate reality of buying a new phone today unless you go with something like the one plus and load plasma. Hopefully companies like Samsung will catch on to this and begin providing privacy by default phones or I think they will have a run for their money in coming years as more open source projects come online.
I have started purchasing Samsung phones after having sub par experience with other android phones. I have owned Galaxy S4 as my first Samsung device then S7 Edge and now Note 9. Samsung has gradually improved on its smartphone with every iteration. Creating GIFs and Motion picture with S4 to Edge screens on S7 with Great Camera and now all round best smartphone with Note 9. From Touch Wiz to Samsung Experience , the transition has been lovely. Below are what i love about Note 9, 1. Great performance, everything feels snappy with SD 845 and 6 GB RAM. 2. Best display on a phone 3. Battery life, Having 4000 MAH battery, Samsung stepped up and it shows. Gets full day battery easily and obviously this depends on individual use. But out of all the phones I have owned until now, Note 9 is at the top in terms of battery life. 4. Samsung experience UI and absolutely no Lag for last few months and ery intuitive. 5. S Pen, One of my favorite as i like to create drawings and also i like to create my own wallpaper. Jotting down notes when i need it quick and the camera shutter. Just plain WOW. 6. Fingerprint sensor is reachable and no accidental touches on camera. Intelligent face unlock works great but still prefer fingerprint sensor for fast unlocking. 7. Still has a headphone jack and no notch. 8. 128 GB of storage 9. Great for music with Dolby Atmos ON. 10. Nice dual speakers. Loud and clear. 11. Edge screen 12. Samsng Pay which works almost everywhere as it has both MST and NFC enabled. 13. Great camera. Initially i wasnt happy as i felt S7 Edge was better but after the updates, its been a great ride. Awesome clicks up until now. The only thing i dont like is the BIXBY button. It was unnecessary. They could have enabled it with voice alone. Or may be like Google now, with swipe to right from Home screen. I personally like what we can do with Bixby but it hardly gets what i am talking. Been using for 2 weeks, it is yet to understand when i speak.
I've been with Samsung since they had launched their version of the sidekick, thats back in 2011 i believe! I tried a competitors phone and i will say it never measured up to my previous Galaxy s7. Yes, it tied into my laptop seamlessly but other than that it wasn't great. Needless to say, I had no hesitation trading it in for this. I spent days comparing the Galaxy S9, Note 9 & what I knew about the upcoming S10. Along side 2 team members at the nearest Target store, we decide the note 9 was the best fit. I do not regret my decision!!! It's faster, thinner, lighter, takes stunning pictures at ANY given time of day & that S pen!!! The S pen is so neat and handy especially at times that i need to write something down but have no time for pen and paper. I use it also for taking pictures at times. I also love it for coloring and drawing. I could go on for a while about this phone but rest assured it is worth buying and ridiculously amazing.
After all the issues with the Note 7 and losing lots of money on trying to find a way home compatible. I did love my note 8 , but I must say that my new NOTE 9 is in another class all by itself. In my opinion and I've owned a ton of smartphones. The NOTE 9 is the best phone ever assembled. THANK YOU SAMSUNG!!!!!!!!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
