So far so good. Loving my new phone

The battery life is awful. Its goes from 100% to 60% in an hour of being on it. Whenever I use a charger on it that is not built for something like a chrome book it tells me it will take up to 2 hours to charge 20%.

It is so overrated. I can not do normal tasks I seamlessly performed on my not very expensive prior phone. Camera. I wanted good camera. It is a joke. Like they say it takes pictures, not photos. Yes it can do good zoom in. But regular photo, it just doesn't do it. I was just trying to sign in for something- and I can not type date, I have to go million times back on calendar to select a date, and it keep glitching. I put navigation the other day, and it started glitching and I was not able to answer incoming call. Yes, you can say i can set priorities. But i am sure there phones out there that just work. I just want normal phone that works.

Everything is an upgrade except for 1 thing. The RAM on the base model is a stepdown and it is noticeable. Happy with everything else from the upgrades to the CPU, to the S Pen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the first time I've purchased a new model phone since the 90s, back when I had disposable income. Ive purchasedvused phones, or less powerful models since. Always settling for price over performance. The price tag was always the barrier. Inevitably I was always stuck with a phone that wasnt capable of handling the processing needs of the current tech landscape after 2 years (if that). I decided to finally bite the bullet, as my new career is more demanding from my tech than prior. I am ECSTATIC with my decision and ultimately, my purchase. This phone rocks! I had just used my phone for email, text, calls, and youtube previously. My older devices help up reasonably well at first, but eventually fell behind well before I was ready to pony up for a replacement. This gizmo handles and outperforms anything else Ive owned by a magnitude of 3, easily. The learning curve was a little steep for me at first, having been behind for so long, but I've since moved on to the more advanced features. Email is easy. No hurdles there. Texting has some performance issues when I'm in a crowded airport, or low signal strength. Im not sure if that's the network, or device. It can be frustrating. However, video streaming and audio quality is exquisite! Rarely buffers, never stutters in the middle of programs, and the colors! Oh the colors! Very vibrant and detailed! Zoomed-in images are amazing! (Check out this moth! Im 2 ft away!) And the audio is satisfying and is loud when needed. The standard eq is a little lacking, but there are 3rd party apps that can get you the most out of the hardware. However, DEX is where the l this phone SHINES! I decided to forgo a new pc after deciding to getca new phone, but didn't know about DEX brfore. I use my phone for processing some large excel databases, and the even in phone mode, rarely have performance issues. After discovering DEX, my phone stay in computer mode.When i leard about DEX and its depth of utility, I realized I dont need to purchase a PC. My word processing and email needs are handled competentl. Multitasking is stellar, and it even handles me playing XBOX games better than my first gen XBOX One! I can say enough how much I enjoy this phone. The price is well worth it.The only complaint is i wish I knew more about the phones hidden gems and functions. I'm still learning new amazing stuff, and i feel if i knew more, id be much more efficient with it. I really don't want to leave any features undiscovered. Im going go purchase the Tab now. I cant wait to see what new features they can utilize when they're combined!
