I left the vent screw closed as required for no escaped emissions. I had 3 gallons of fuel leaked into my boat in about a week. I used the same connector and fuel hose that worked with my old tank so the only variable was the tank. After talking to a boat user friend I am wondering if those that don't have problems with the tank are leaving the vent open. This allows emissions to escape into the atmosphere and defeats the purpose of the new tank standards. This was a hard lesson for me.
Leaks laying down or standing up at the cheap rubber fitting into the tank. same as others have said. Cheap stay away!
LEAKS !!!!!
sturdy well made
