It's flimsier than I thought it would be and the hood is super stiff and doesn't really attach well to the rest of the basket. It is also Velcro that is used for the hood to attach to the basket. Basket is comfortable and convenient if your in the living room sitting on the couch or if your bed is low it's nice being able to keep a eye on your child

This basket is not worth the money I spent on it. The lining was ok, it says "Saks 5th Ave" but that's the best thing about it. But the ribbon on it to attach to the basket doesn't line up in a nice fashion either. The basket itself is badly misshapen so it doesn't even lay flat. And the "hood" on top is attached with velcro which doesn't fit properly and pops half off at the slightest touch! Plus you can see the velcro no matter how you try to put it on. The handles are useless, big and floppy, and it states very clearly that you cannot use them while a baby is inside to move the basket. So there is no point in having them on there. The pillow that lays on the bottom is crinkly and thin and would in no way be comfortable by the baby laying on it. They would feel the cheap rattan or whatever it is underneath. Luckily I bought it to display baby blankets on for my etsy shop but it doesn't even work for that bc it's so badly constructed. I don't even feel right about giving it away bc the poor baby who receives it would be so uncomfortable! And I know babies, I've raised 4. Complete waste of money!

It looks so sturdy and beautiful in the photos but unfortunately it is rather flimsy. It came in a box that was too small for it and it sits looking "deformed" when it is put together.

This is a staple item for all babies in the family. I've gotten one for each of my grandchildren, and everyone (babies and parents alike) has loved it. One even made it through a couple of babies-which is not typical given the nature of basketry. With that said, however, these are very economical for most in the lower 48 to have shipped; but here in Alaska, with shipping cost slightly over the cost of the product, it made for a costly purchase. A $35 great value turned into a $75 item to purchase (as it is only available online). So, even though we have many Walmart stores here, we have to pay extra on all our shipping.

This basket was purchased for my niece. She absolutely loves it. It's construction is very sturdy and the fabric liner is pink polka dots and adorable! It made a perfect gift!
