I was told to put a bandaid over site of a skin biopsy. I used other bandaids without a problem for several days. Then I put one of these on, and when the time came to take it off it was horribly painful and actually took skin off. Now I have raw, reddened skin around the biopsy site in the shape of the bandaid - and way more trouble than I started with. Unsafe product very upsetting.
The adhesive must be incredibly strong because it hurts so much to remove it. It will pull a layer of skin along with it. When removed, it left a raised, red raw shape/rash in the shape of the bandaid. You can clearly see where the cotton pad in the center was. This is the only bandaid product I've used that does this to me.
I was so excited to find a water block Band-Aid since I frequently had to reapply the bandage after washing my hands. Contrary to my initial excitement before the purchase, this version of Band-Aid turned out to be the most frustrating one. Each time I wanted to use the bandage, I had to throw one first as it kept sticking to itself. Basically, this product only allows 50% usage. I've never written any product review. However, this bandage was so maddening to use. And, it was so disappointing as it was manufactured by Johnson and Johnson, which should guard its goodwill with customers. Those who produced this bandage must have been in a rush to sell. If they ever tried to use it themselves, they would have abandoned it as soon as possible or adjust the idea or the product. That is how poor this product it is.
I have never written an on line review before but this product was abysmal. It was difficult to get on and impossible to get off It left a large red area with some bruising where I tried to get it off . In the process of removing it the injury started bleeding again and I was back where I started three days ago.
I put one of these bandaids on my daughter's arm for a tiny cut. Not only was it hard to remove but when we finally removed it there was a swollen red rectangular mark on her arm the same size and shape as the pad. My daughter does not have allergies to latex and this product states that it is not made with latex so I am uncertain what caused it. I shared this information with a friend who, even before I told her what type of Band-Aid we used, asked if it was the clear Band-Aids because the same happened to her and her son. I think Band-Aid needs to do a quality check because this should not happen. The LOT number is 0668B
