It is a win win for everyone! The only problem is they don't like taking turns, so may need a second one.

The hair is inserted in well enough to keep it from being pulled out on accident and the dolls head is very durable. Your child can create tons of different styles with the hair and all the cute little accessories that come with it. It comes with some small hair clips and some rubber bands. The rubber bands aren't stretchy enough and a little hard to use but they can use normal hair scrunchies with it. My four year old and 8 year old sat together playing with different styles for a couple of hours without getting bored.

The Barbie Fashionista Styling Head came with several different hair barrettes that actually stay in the doll's hair. Her hair is manageable and also comes with a brush. This toy is perfect for any child ages 4 and up. There are small pieces so it is not suitable for younger folks, but with adult supervision or help it may work for the younger generation too.
