I bought this to use as an amp for a microphone rather than use with an instrument. I bought a mic and stand combo with this amp and created my own inexpensive PA system. The amp works well, took a few minutes of experimentation to figure out the right settings to work well with the microphone. Once that was done it worked like a charm. One thing I was a little disappointed with is that it's not quite as loud with the mic as I would like, but considering that I put the system together for less than $100 total with the mic and stand I'm happy. Besides, I'll be using indoors more often than not so I'm pretty confident I'll get the volume I need. I would recommend this amp without hesitation.
