Betty Crocker Dark Chocolate Brownie Mix Family Size, 19.9 oz

For years, I've been making this Betty Crocker Dark Chocolate brownie mix for family gatherings, receiving many compliments. The new recipe is a terrible, cake-y texture and tastes boring. I will have to try experimenting again with different brands to find a new top brownie mix, since that title no longer goes to Betty Crocker Dark Chocolate. Bleh!

The brownie mix is like any other brownie out there. It used to be so delicious now it's cake like, just like the other brands out there. Too bad they changed it as I'll have to look for another brand that has the texture of what it used to be like. BIG mistake in whoever decided to change the recipe. Maybe with a ton of bad reviews on the new recipe you go back to the way it was. Change isn't always better.

I'm so upset. I am known as the brownie queen! Betty Crocker dark chocolate brownie mix is better than scratch-made and was what I used. They are ALWAYS requested for school functions, church functions, both mine and my husband's coworkers, potlucks, family holiday gatherings, bake sales, or just a request for dessert at home. I even had a neighbor ask me if I'd make them for a gift basket she was giving to a sick friend. My grandchildren request them all the time. My mother is still salty because my dad told me 15 years ago that my brownies were better than hers. I keep no less than 15 boxes in my pantry at all times. WHY would you ruin your best brownie mix? I can't make these for anyone. My grands won't even eat them. PLEASE go back to the original recipe AND box size. You've ruined a great thing! None of your other brownie mixes even come close to being as good. There is no substitute so please go back to the original.

I've been using the Betty Crocker dark chocolate brownie mix for going on 20 years. I am famous for my brownies (they were a family and friend favorite) and I always gave the credit to the dark chocolate mix by Betty Crocker. I'm not sure what you've done besides put let mix in the box but these are absolutely horrible. I have made these several times since you changed the box and each and every time they come out absolutely terrible! Tasteless and the texture is horrible! I'm not kidding when I tell you I was famous for my brownies and every event they were the number one request. I am not going to forced to find a replacement because I wouldn't serve these to anyone. I would be embarrassed. When I tell you I've made so many of these brownies over the years it is not an exaggeration! I'm so disappointed. Please return them to their former recipe I'll pay the difference that needs to be paid. Why do you change something that was perfect just the way it was! You won't save money you wil make less because no one will buy your product! I certainly won't and I've literally bought hundreds if these over the last 20 years but but again!

These turned out delicious! I used an 8×8 glass pan and left them in for the suggested time. Once they cooled, the inside was soft and the top was just right. Wait to cool before cutting or they crumble and do not over bake. Brought them to a party and everyone loved them!
