Tires are awesome for anything (dry), they will crawl right out off sugar sand bowls and pits. Steep clay and rock trails that are uneven or unmaintained, and they are quiet and very good in the rain here in Florida. "Stay out of mud", they become slicks, unless you bounce of rev limit to finally clear them out. You can puddle jump, but don't expect to drive through any heavy mud or clay they pack right up. expect to get sick of them, they don't wear out lol
I have a 2000 Tundra with 104,000 miles. Put the All-Terrains on at 30,000 miles 10 years ago. Still have 4-5 thirty seconds of tread life. Rotated and balanced every 5000 miles. These are the best tires I have ever put on a truck. I spent 20 years as a master technician. I would always recommend these tires to any one that asked. I am waiting for the new All-Terrains to come out and I will be one one of the first one in line to get some. My truck is used as a daily driver and it goes to the coast a couple times a year. Never have had a problem with these tires. Do great in the sand on the beach. Great on the road for a truck tire. Best truck tire in the world. Can not go wrong with these tires.
Just back from first real rest for my BFG A/T's old farm track across a field, with dense clay underneath which was moist. Got seriously stuck on a 20 degree incline when treads got completely clogged with clay, I effectively had bald tyres on a track that had I slipped 3m backwards I would have likely overturned. I could not risk reversing as I had absolutely no traction. Dispite deflating to 1.6 bar only got out after treaking to cut down some shrubs and put under the tyres, once on the longer grass it was fine but took 40 mins to get out of 1 inch deep clay! These tyres are still 85%+ tread left, First BFG's since moving from Deulers AT. Great on the road and on grass and Im sure they are good on gravel and the wear rate is excellent.
I ran these tires on my 2000 Dodge 2500 Diesel rotated them religiously with every oil change and still have the paper work to prove it I averaged 55,000 to 58,000 per set drove from Pittsburgh pa to Crawford County every weekend I want to replace the factory tires on my new Ford with these Never had a complaint and drove through many hazardous winter conditions this is honestly a great tire
Just put these tires on my tahoe and went to my hunting lease. It rained an inch in a few hours and was blown away by how much grip these have going through the mud to get the stand and back to camp. Great on the road as well and didn't notice a difference in the road noise compared to regular highway tires. The thick sidewalls are a plus as well Overall a great tire with a lot of grip.
