Purchased for a family member that has balance issues. These wheels gave them the ability to ride a bike unassisted, which is something they have not been able to do. Extremely well made and can handle adult riders. Thrilled with this purchase!
"Haven't installed it yet, but great expectations! Particularly attracted by the structure design (I'm a structural engineer by education) and the larger spoke and inflated tires. My wife has prevailed thru Lupus, all of the arthritis and muscular diseases, seven continuing medical specialists, 30 something pills/day, heart surgery, shoulder and hip replacements, spinal surgery and periodic spinal ablations - and now feels better - at 81 - than she's felt in 23 years!!. No idea that I could find ""training"" wheels for an adult bike and figured that she'd have to settle for a three wheeler. She really wanted to return to her 1983 Schwinn 3-speed stored in the garage for the past 30 years. And I've still got and have continued to use my 10-speed Schwinn. So
These are great I have a hard time with balance and this works great. The wheels need to be off the ground about 2 inches. It is harder to turn but gets easier.
Horrible experience!!!! I bought this item to help with balance while stopping. I felt like I was tipping the entire time. You cant steer it. If not on flat ground it wont pedal. We returned it!!!! Also the manufacturer never replied to my emails and their voicemail doesnt work.
This was a good purchase until the bearings wore out because the axle wasn't tightened at the factory. Only had them for 2 months. Didn't know I had to make those adjustments myself. Otherwise I would have. Tried contacting the company 2 days ago and they seem to be unresponsive, both by phone (left a message) and by email direct to customer service. They take some mechanical skills to put on. My wife needs these to ride and they are sturdy enough to go the distance. Hoping for a resolution......soon.
