This really does the trick for dry mouth symptoms. It has a nice fresh mint taste that tastes great without being overpowering. This rinse also doesn't cause that burning sensation that some mouthwashes do, which is nice. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I suffer from extreme dry mouth to the point to where I consistently have cotton mouth. It is absolutely horrible. I would always constantly have a drink in hand which never seemed to work. I was recommended to give Biotene dry mouth mouthwash a try. It works! It is alcohol free so it does not burn in comparison to other mouthwashes. It has a mild fresh mint flavor, it does help freshen breath but the main purpose of it is to help relieve dry mouth. The best way that I can describe the relief is the feeling that you get when you are extremely thirsty and you take the first drink of water. Since using this I have found that the relief last about a good 4 hours. I usually carry a little bottle during the day to keep on hand. If you have not tried as of yet, I recommend that you do. Hello. Ive had a problem with dry mouth for years. The old biotene formula was much better and gave me relief for a longer period of time. The new gel only works for about 30 mins. Maybe that's why they changed the formula because the old formula worked too well and they wasn't selling as much. Please bring back the old formula. There is not many options on the market and if you really want to give people relief then you will make it better than its current state.

I bought a small bottle of this and thought it worked good. I bought a bigger bottle today and will return it now that I read the ingredients. Sodium Benzoate being the worst. But look up the other ingredients and you will get an idea of what you are really rinsing with.There is nothing BIO or natural about this product at all. I wish that these companies would stop putting preservatives in everything----You have to educate yourself these days. Sorry!

With the formula change biotene became a less than desirable rinse. It doesn't work as well as it used to with this new formula. I didn't even notice the ingredient change until after a few days with the new formula wasn't working as well. That's when I noticed the difference with an older bottle I had. Change back to the old formula.
