I was skeptical because I read mixed reviews. But, it works for my dog. She had chewed my electrical cords, my wall, my futon and my kitchen arm chairs. I sprayed Apple Bitter on all and she hasn't gone near any of it again. I have lots of chew toys and bones for her and yet she still chewed on "my" stuff. Not any more! The product has not harmed any of my furniture nor did it stain. Good product.
My mom and I was fed up with my 4 month puppy chewing and nipping at everything he saw.We brought everything thinking SOMETHING would work. He would just sniff and lick the other products we brought him and he enjoyed it asking for more. One day I was researching and I found this product Bitter Apple Spray. I was kinda iffy because nothing worked in the past. When I sprayed it on the tables and cords he sniffed it and walked away. I was surprised that he did that and my puppy licks and eats anything.
It works, it really works! Thank goodness. We tried two other sprays that claimed they would stop chewing but our puppy actually loved them! They were absolutely worthless. The "Bitter Apple" spray does what it says. Our Beagle puppy instantly stops chewing anything we spray it on, and it lasts so far for two weeks on what was sprayed. I cannot recommend it highly enough!
I have a guide dog, and when she is not in harnss (not working). She has a slight tendency to want to lick her legs. I do not want this to cause bobos as she is a working dog and has to maintain great health. This bitter apple spray works great. One spray on the area shes licking and she knows not to lick. She knows it's yucky, and just the smell of the spray turns her away. She is truely amazing and I am thannkful that there are helpful products like bitter apple spray.
My friend has a golden retriever who's a real sweetie, except for one really annoying problem: she's a maniacal licker. (I mean the dog, not my friend.) Anyways, before coming to visit, I now spray this stuff all over my hands, forearms, and lower legs. The pooch takes a couple of licks out of habit but then quickly turns away with a puzzled look on her face. Now I can visit my friend without being given an unwanted tongue-bath.
