They ought to call the whole thing a freezer rather a refrigerator. At the highest settings it froze all the liquids in it .If you want cold this is the one for you. Fair amount of space.
Delivered earlier than estimated, in perfect condition. I had read earlier reviews and waited 24 hours before putting food inside and bought a thermometer so am able to check the inner temp. Everything works fine. I have the fridge in my bedroom and other than an occasional quiet click when it goes on and off, you wouldn't even know it is running. So far my electric bill seems the same. This little fridge is well worth it's price and a real convenience.
Didn't rate durability as I've only had it for a couple of weeks but all other areas are well done. Especially like large capacity for 3 half gallon milk cartons in front door. At just below the middle temp setting, the refrigerator is 35 degrees F (measured by a laser temp gun). At that setting the freezer is 22 degrees.
Black and Decker name but made by Haier - well made. Compressor type, just wish it had an interior light as it is used in my game room which is often dark when watching TV. Holds 8 bottles the size I use (32.5 oz 10" tall) plus 5 or 6 long-neck 12oz bottles and 8 to 10 12 oz cans plus more room for small items! Also available in black (which I got) or white. Ordered in to my WalMart quickly without shipping cost which was a good experience because this item is not stocked at my store. This 2.7 cubic foot replaced a 1.7 for about $15 more and is much more useful. Quiet for the most part and keeps cold at #3 setting without fail or freezing drinks. $35 rated operating cost per year! Hard to beat!
Love my new little fridge! I got it for the office and was limited by the space so I couldn't buy the taller mini fridges. But in the shorter ones there were a few that were 1.7 cubic feet and I thought that wasn't large enough. I kept looking until I found this one which has almost an extra cubic foot. It is super quiet (I barely hear it and I sit just a few feet from it and prefer to work without music so the office is quiet). I left it set on 3 when I plugged it in, figuring that I could adjust it up or down a day later after it got to the correct temperature. I didn't even have to adjust it. It keeps my bottled water really cold and the freezer really does freeze. It's got lots of space for a little fridge. I went grocery shopping by the office one day and had to store the perishables in it until the end of day. As I was driving to the office I was upset with myself thinking it wouldn't fit as I had purchased quite a few things to take home. Well, I ended up fitting a dozen eggs, 2 lg plastic containers of salad greens, a pound of turkey, half a dozen hard boiled eggs, 2 pounds of shredded cheese, 6 yogurt cups, 4 drinkable yogurts, 12 mini sausage biscuits (in the freezer for office breakfasts), 2 lbs fresh grapes and this was all on top of the 6 water bottles, 4 cans of seltzer & salad dressing I already had in there. I was worried because I know you're not supposed to stuff a fridge full, but should leave space for the cold air to circulate, but it performed great! At 5:00 I took most of the things out to take home and everything was cold. It's a great value at $99 & Walmart delivered it right to the office in just 2 days. I'm very happy with my purchase.
