Black & Decker B&d Cordless Lawn Mower

Trouble-free so far, after 15 months. None of the hassles of gas-powered mowers. Runs about 50 minutes when mowing moderately long grass. I have a larger lawn, so I mow it over a 2-day period, getting it back to full charge overnight. I keep it plugged in 24/7 all year so it's always ready. I always use the mulching attachment (recommended) rather than the bagging attachment, so the only clean-up is the small amount of clippings (hardly a dust-pan full) in the mulcher. Height adjustment is nearly effortless. Noise level is not whisper-quiet, but is still far less than that from a gas mower. Mower is not self-propelled, and I have a bumpy lawn, so I do get a bit of a workout, but, as a believer in building exercise into your everyday life, I consider that a plus. Always remember to remove "Key" when cleaning mower, or when storing it, to avoid accidental operation. Insert "Key" only when actually mowing.

This is my 1st mower. I wanted it gas free, oil free, easy to maintain, and as quiet as possible. My yards are not very large and fairly flat. This mower fit my needs perfect. I wastch my neighbor struggle to get his gas mower started; not the case with this mower. Insert the key & hold the lever. My 12 y/o enjoys mowing the lawn because of the ease. The mower is not self propelling but I find that if I empty the grass from the catcher it lightens the load and seems to improve performance. I do charge it between mowing the front & back yard. We're under the heat dome and a rest is a very welcome thing! The ease of being able to use it whenever it has charged is a plus. No gasoline hassles or cans to store nor the smell. Great for our enviorment.

I love that the B&D cordless mower because it is so easy to start. The first time I used it, my grass was 6 inches tall and it cut it easily. The mulching deck and the bag are easy to install and remove. I purchased the B&D because I received a recommendation from a friend who has been using the same B&D cordless mower for 10 years. The only thing she had to replace was the cutting blade and it was inexpensive.

The rechargeable 24 volt Black and Decker is all I had hoped for. it's easy to start, easy to recharge, it rolls easy, it's quieter then a gas-powered, it's handle folds easy so I can store it under a workbench in the garage. I like the ease of recharging it and not having to buy gas and live with the uncertainty that I can get it started. I am a female in my mid-fifties with a yard that takes about 45 min. to mow. What I don't like is that it is not self-propelled and weighs over 90 lbs. The advantage of the ease of charging and starting outweighs these disadvantages. The manual that comes with it is easy to read and understand.

Ship to store was a little slow, but overall the expericence was good. Not too heavy, but heavier than a gas mower. Charges fast and last long enough for my yard 1/5th acre. Downfalls: Worried where charger plugs in may break (plastic clip), hope not to lose key Benefits: No gas, no oil, eco friendly, adjustable height is simple (1 button all changes all wheels), instant start up and stopping, built well, almost no assembly
