Excellent tool!! Bought it to replace one I bought 5 years ago. My half acre lot has bushes edging more than 3/4 of the lot's border, as well as around the house, so it gets a work out multiple times a year. It did an excellent job on all of it, and the 24" bar was necessary. When it gave up and started smoking, there was no question, but replacing it with the same trimmer.

They sent me a hedge trimmer with a dead or defective battery. When I returned it they refunded the purchase price but NOT the sales tax ($11.73). Besides this, looking at several other peoples negative reviews, it appears items sold by CPO Commerce on Walmart Online Site appear to be used or refurbished items being sold as new?? I will be careful in the future and make sure I am not buying anything sold by CPO Commerce on the Walmart Online site

I received my Black+Decker Hedge Trimmer about a month ago and I'm very pleased with several of its features: 1. It's light weight. A comfort to use for extended periods. Easy to maneuver. 2. The ergonomics are great. Acceptable grips. No fatigue in the hands or arms over time. 3. Surprisingly long run time with a single full battery. Indicator showed about 30% battery life remained after approximately an hour and a half use. 4. Precise and clean cutting. Don't have to go over the same area multiple times. Wanted a 40 v battery trimmer for bushes and hedges/saplings. Black & Decker didn't disappoint! Trimmed a large forsythia bush for 45 minutes and had power to spare! Tough but also gentle for boxwood and smaller branches. Very reasonable price & bargain for a 40v.
