BLACK+DECKER POWERCOMMAND 40V MAX* Cordless Sweeper, (LSW36)

Lite weight but pretty strong...thought would be stronger but adiquit....

I bought this sweeper a couple of months ago to do a large porch, walks, and parking slab. The first battery went bad, but the new one works well, and Black and Decker quickly replaced the first one. A charge lasts much longer than the smaller Black and Decker sweeper that I returned. The only reason I gave it four stars rather than five is that it is not quite as powerful a blower as I would like, but it gets the job done. It is also reasonably quiet and light.

I purchased the sweeper in August 2018 and was disappointed when the battery charger no longer worked in August 2019. I wrote to their customer service and they promptly sent me a replacement. Very good service!

This unit arrived in a small box~ included with the blower is a *charger* and Battery ...The battery was fully charged on arrival. You line it up and push it down and it snaps and ready to use. The Battery has a green bar you can push and it shows how much charge is left. I blew a pretty long drive way and side walk and it still had some battery life left. First time was over 25 minutes. It does NOT have the same velocity of a electric one but then I did not expect that. I give up a little power for the ease of use and light weight. It did that. I was very pleased with this purchase. Pros: light weight, affordable, ease of use, light up battery shows how much battery time is left on it, Did the job at an affordable price. Cons: so far I have not found one. I did not get this for heavy duty leaf blowing, what I did buy this for was to clean off side walks and drive way after mowing and it did it very well. 5 STARS all the way. I would highly recommend this unit.

I know it's a sweeper, not a full blown leaf blower. But this works like a hair dryer. I have been in 100 mph winds and I just didn't see anything special with this sweeper's 120 mph claim. Including holding the forced air against my face. I am a truck driver and need to sweep out my trailer everyday. So I bought this one. However, it could barely move a nail from a broken pallet--on the highest setting, with the blower 2 inches away from the nail. It also had difficulty moving typical small pieces of wood and plastic, small torn off pieces of plastic wrap, the wood pieces about 1"- 4". It could not move a broken bag of dog food at all. I had to use my broom. It does well with dust, or extremely light material, that is not sticky. The sweeper is light. Very easy to hold and use. The battery took about an hour to charge and held its charge well. I used the highest setting for blowing because the lowest settings was absolutely ineffectual. I would not recommend this sweeper even for grass shavings on your sidewalk or driveway. Walmart's money back was very easy, and I put that toward a better unit.
