I got this on Black Friday to replace my old proto x fpv, and I don't regret it! the power is amazing for a non brushless Drone, and the fpv signal is very good. I will definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good deal on a mini fpv racing Drone.
It's similar to the 180QX in power and feel. In fact, I consider it the 180QX reborn as an fpv quad. It's much bigger than the Nano QX line-of-sight flying quad. It has ample power for some outdoor flying. Somebody mentioned that it is touchy. I don't think so. If it's too sensitive, just dial up the expo. The only thing I don't like about it is the battery connector, which resembles the 1s connectors on the 1s 150mAh lipos; only bigger . They could have just used a JST connector, which is what a lot of pilots are changing to for this quadcopter.
I bought this little quad to get into fpv flying. I have flown everything imaginable over the years and my views on this quad are. First off it seems to be geared towards beginner to intermediate flyers. In low rates with stability mode on it flies very sedated. Turn on high rates and set in acro mode and flips are very easy and it handles very well. The inverted frame gives it a cool bug look but as stated in other reviews the feet will get caught in carpet. Not a big thing really but be aware. I am sorry one of the reviewers had thiers break so easy. I have crashed mine dozens of times and my only damage has been props. Fpv link has been flawless on all my vtx's and range is better than some and worse than other 25mw vtx's I own. I can set in my recliner go out the front door and travel my 2.5 acre fence line without too much breakup of signal. All in all I do recommend the nanoqx2 fpv for anyone looking for an introduction into fpv. Easy enough for a total Newby with safe mode and flight envelope can expand with your skills. One tip, stop flying with safe mode as soon as you can. Acro mode is what you really want to learn to fly well in. Learning curve is steep but the rewards are worth it. This is where this bird shines. Get it trouble in acro. Just flip to safe and she just calms right down. Awesome for the beginner
On the business of recommending this to a friend I would have to do so only after detailing the PITA points of this quad. The stupid feet that it stands on have great difficulty taking off from most carpeting, and even landing on carpeting if there is any forward motion. It flat can't take off from grass. Period!!! Not only do the feet snag everything in sight, the props themselves tangle with grass. It can't land and take off from the best maintained putting green, let alone a well mowed back yard. Aside from this, it flies well, the camera is adequate and it's fun. As long as it's in the air. Do I like it? Yes but I think it's built upside own. It's probably fine in a gym or on bare floors but here in NYC apartment dwellers are required to have 85% of their living space carpeted for the sake of their downstairs neighbors. Alas, there is even some carpeting in my building lobby. My club field is just that, a huge grass expanse waiting to hide this little thing from view. Oh well, it is fun while airborne.
