Boppy Bloom Soothing Breast Balm

I have very sensitive skin and I'm allergic to lanolin. This cream provided a soothing barrier with no side effects. I only gave it 4 stars because it comes off on my bra...kind of like a chapstick for your nipples.... I just use nipple pads to protect my delicates and it's great.

I do like this product a lot. I haven't used it a lot, since I got it after I was past the cracked and bleeding stage. But, I do still use it occasionally and I have enjoyed it. It doesn't have much scent to it, which I actually appreciate. I also really like the texture of it, not too sticky and not too thick. My lanolin cream I had been using was really hard to get out of the bottle, and this is not at all like that. I enjoy this breast balm much more than others I have used.

I received a free sample of this product and I am towards the end of my pumping/breastfeeding days, so my input is slightly limited. In my opinion the product is better than lanolin, but still just okay. It is greasy and sticky, but it wiped off easily. I would use it for pumping. L

Texture was very thick and gooey, hard to spread. Also pretty greasy and didn't feel like it absorbed. Worst of all (for me), the balm is technically "fragrance free" but the tube I received had a strange stale/old oil smell to it that I couldn't get over.

I have been breast feeding for 5 months along with pumping and have tried several brands of 'nipple creams' - while they tend to do their job for the moisture, nothing really seems to 'soothe'. Boppy Breast Balm truly seems to soothe - my personal experience is on sore breasts after tons of pumping during work, then going home to nurse my baby - it almost felt like putting menthol on your chest while you have a cold, that kind of ahhhh! moment!
