Bose - QuietComfort Earbuds II True Wireless Noise Cancelling In-Ear Headphones - Soapstone

These earbuds are great, without a doubt. Sound quality is very good, but the main reason I purchased them was for the noise cancelling properties. I have a 15 month old who screams frequently for the joy of it. The noise cancellation itself is very good, but no match for our little fella's screams, but the aware feature with active sense or whatever its called is just fantastic. For anyone else who uses earbuds for this kind of reason, you'll know that constantly having noise cancelling on locks you in your head and stops you from being able to take part in normal life. As such, I was particularly interested in the active sense feature which allows you to take part in normal life by hearing what's going on around you, but actively seeks to cut out loud or intrusive sounds. It works incredibly well on these things. After spending a couple of £hundred on earplugs and ear defenders and having purchased Sont WF-1000xm5 and WH-1000xm5 for this purpose, I now use these all the time. They won't necessarily catch the start of a single scream, but they will cut in to reduce the impact of any that follow in quick succession. Also, they seem to reduce the frequency of even the initial scream, and it has always been the frequency of the screams which I found hardest to stomach. As I've been writing out little man has decided to start screaming as he wanted some water, and they didn't cut in immediately, but quickly enough to suppress the following ones to the point where it was was obviously audible, but the frequency and volume were subdued. The app is pretty poor. Other than initially connecting once charged buds are removed from the case (which does give enough time to use the fit test function to ensure that the noise cancelling will work as effectively as possible) the app will not then connect again to the buds, which is extremely irritating if you have to remove one or both of the buds for any reason as you can't then check the ear seal. However, I can personally forgive the rubbish app as the noise cancelling/aware with active sense is so effective. I should also add, that for my specific purposes, the noise cancelling on these is better than on both the WH and WF xm5s from Sony. I appreciated that others, with different needs may have a different experience though. I purchased the xl/xs stability bands and buds to make these fit properly for me, whereas the Sony WF-1000xm5 I found to offer a better out of the box fit.

I really love these! The sound it great and they sit in your ear comfortably. They have an extra fitting that secures them in your ear which means that you do not feel as if they are about to fall out. The noice cancelling function is so good that it blocks out practically everything else so my suggestion is to only use that if you are in a safe location. The small niggles I have is that I have not been able to get the volume reduction to work as I would like and they ear buds sometimes loose contact with my music library, otherwise, would would give this 6 or 7 stars. These are well worth it!

I had the Bose ear budquite bought as a 60th birthday present by my work colleagues. I love the sound quality and they are comfortable. My only gripe is the app always disconnects from the earbuds, however, this does not affect whether the music plays or not. But, I am surprised Bose hadn't made sure this error was resolved prior to putting them out, this is a shame. They cost a lot of money, so the customer should not have to put up with this type of issue. I have had to delete WiFi connection history numerous times and then reinstate, having only had the ear buds for a week. It might be an idea if Bose made every effort to make sure their next update included a patch to resolve this issue.

Left ear started making a horrible LOUD waving base noise, then the app would not connect. I managed to do a full reset once then same happened again but this time they won't connect to the app even though it sometimes can see them and tries to connect but I get connection failed. Tried using 2 different andriod devices same thing. Bose replacing them FOC

I used the QC2 earbuds for the first time in a very busy cafe at Heathrow airport (minutes after buying them) and I have never been so impressed with a product. The noise cancellation was like nothing I had ever experienced before - like somebody had hit the mute button on real life. Noise cancelling of the low rumblings of planes and trains has always been good in Bose products, but the noise cancelling of voices, mere meters away is outstanding. I have no idea how they have packed such incredible performance into the tiny earbuds. I slept like a baby on my 8 hour flight, wearing them continuously without any discomfort at all. Nothing like the pressured feeling of stuffing my Shure in-ears for a long flight, something I can only handle for a few hours at a time. They're almost invisible, incredibly comfortable and make the least comfortable of journeys enjoyable. I would buy them again in a heartbeat.
