A good shirt that is a step up from a t-shirt without being dressy. Great for me wanting to be a bit more professional as a contractor and artist, but still dressed for working. The extra length is what makes these shirt vital for me. I can move in them all day and they don't come untucked. I usually run hot and the heavy ones are good for cooler temps and the light weight ones are better for warmer weather but can still be warm for me. I wear tank tops most the time in the late spring through summer. My only complaint is, I wish they would match the collar trim piece to the shirt, rather than the bright orange. Depending on the color you order, it clashes more or less. It's on the inside of the collar but if you wear the buttons open, it shows and it's hunter orange. It's not a huge deal but I would really prefer it wasn't there.
I love short sleeved Henley shirts, half of my shirts are these and they all came from King Size Direct. Note these are cut smaller than Henley shirts from them in the past, just put one over the older shirt and notice they are cut smaller. They are made in India, and the others I think may have been made in Pakistan. The chemical odor on them when you opened the packages could be smelled across the room. Two washings later they were fine, and they look great. Why smaller? What chemical?
Tried it on before washing and it fit with room to spare. After a cold water wash and line dry, it shrank to the point that it's now only slightly bigger than a "form-fit." My advice is that you buy it a size larger than you need. Otherwise it seems like a decent henley. I would recommend this to a friend, but only with the qualification that they buy a size larger.
I have been buying these for my husband for years! the heavyweight ones are no longer "heavyweight" have sent several back due to this. The quality is no where as good as it used to be. Just like with everything else! I wonder how "light" the lightweight ones are!
Washed one of the four shirts that I bought in cold water three times, line dried to avoid shrinkage and on the fourth time, put it in the dryer at a low setting. It shrank a little bit but not excessively. I know cotton shrinks and did expect this and this, so far, is the only complaint I have. Have not yet worn any of the others - wanted to be sure I did not have to return them.
