If you have money to burn like a rockhard ride want poor gas milage < br>then this is your tire.< br>Worked well first season then just like a reg all season tire.< br>it is sad they wear so fast < br>FIRESTONE WINTERFORCE 3 honest seasons mabey 4 not as good on ice but hard to tell
Well, these are my dedicated winter tires for my service truck. I travel the NW extensively and I hit every style of tarmac. These tires are well built.....for what they were made for, a dedicated winter tire. They're great for light to deep snow, do not plan on getting amazing wear, cornering capabilities or black ice traction from these Blizzaks. I tow 5000-10,000 lbs trailers on a daily basis and carry loads of material and these tires handle the load quite well. In light rain to torrential down pours there pretty darn great. I liken them to gecko like grip in the rain and you can see my trail on the wet road as they clear a path, and wet braking is superb. The only true gripe I have is that there really not all that great in pact snow to black ice. Only a true studded tire is best suited for these types of road conditions. But as a whole, these Blizzaks are great as an alternative to studded tires.
This is my second set of Blizzaks, the first was on a 2wd Chevy 2500. Night and day on that truck, just the ability to handle on ice makes the priceof the tires worthwhile. The confidence of sure footing in rough conditions ispriceless! The tires do sing a little bit on dry pavement. My friend has those tires and they still look like new, they are about 10 years old! The wear on them is far better than expected. The set on the Ford were on my old Ford, 6 years later and they are not past the 'snow' wear bar yet. Don't be fooled by my 'location', I do lots of winter driving with trailers. Extremely satisfied all theway around.
I have owned six sets of Blizzack tires and would not use a vehicle in our snow belt without them. I use them on my personal SUV, my wife's Jeep and on my plow truck. They go through anything, and have never let me down. They ride smoothly and quietly and for the traction they offer the tread wear is morethan fine. These are my absolute favorite tires!
I have a 2006 Chevrolet 2500 HD. The tires the truck came with were horrible in icy/snowy conditions. Once I put these tires on my truck performancewas greatly improved - winter 05-06. < br>< br>< br>< br>I have had absolutely no issues with these tires when used in dry/wet/icy/snowy/rainy conditions. However, I am very careful to drive slowly when the weather is bad. I cannot vouch for their performance when driven by a more aggressive driver.< br>< br>< br>< br>Theyperformed great when used around the farm in deep snow as well. < br>< br>< br>< br>Overall, I think they were a great buy and I am happy to have them living in the often snowy mountains of New York state.
