I just sold my Nitro winter tires after a year. They had no traction on wet, snowy or ice so I switched to Blizzaks hoping that it wasn't just the fault of having a rear drive car. These tires are awesome. I actually want it to snow more just to give the tires a challenge. I actually enjoy winter driving instead of fear when I had the Nitros on.

These tires are great at have quiet sound; moving in snow, and maintaining tread. Yet, where I live in New England we get a lot of ice storms and for they are not as good as having studded tires. Yet, if you are generally in an area where you mostly snow only then you'd be alright.

The title says it all. This is my second set of Blizzaks having run them years ago on a Fiero, yes a Fiero. The improvement in being able to start, stop and turn in my 2011 VW Golf is incredible. I have run a number of dedicated snows on my last two VW's and these are hands down better than the ones I had from a major competitor from France who will remain nameless. The cost of a set of dedicated snows increases the chances of getting to your destination, not sliding off the road and wrecking your car and makes winter driving less worrisome. These out perform my wife's 4 wheel drive vehicle until I put a set on it for Christmas. Money well spent.

I used this tire on 3 different cars now for our Michigan Winter driving. First our 2006 MINI Cooper which leaves many AWD/4WD cars in the dust when there is snow and ice in amazement to all the 4 wheelers out on the road. This little car plows thru great with these Blizzaks. The AWD Rogue never gets stuck and plows a 2 track driveway when going "up North" to the cabin without a problem. I amazed many passenger that said you can't go through that when we had 2 foot of snow. Our 3rd car is a 2007 Toyota Highlander Hybrid 4WD and again these Blizzaks make stopping and accelerating at the intersection on our county roads a snap. The ride comfort is great on dry roads for all three cars and outperforms the Winterforce tires my sons has on his sedan. For the SUV?CUV's there is no better tire and the Mini does as good if not better than the Michelin X-Ice we used previously. We have now over 30K miles on Blizzaks and agree with the pro's that they are the best all around snow/winter tires.
