These tires have all the short comings you expect from a dedicatedsnow tire, but their ice and snow performance more than make up for it. These should be mandatory in Minnesota winters. If you have never used a dedicated snowtire you don't know what you're missing. Buy these and be safer.
These are phenomenal tires. They were mounted on separate wheels and used only for winter in Minnesota. Once temps were over 50 degrees, I switched toall-seasons. I got three winters out of these, and they were fantastic for treadwear. I could have done another winter before they were down to the 6/32 wearbar where they'd lose the optimal performance. I sold the car, but had I kept it, I would have kept using these tires. The Dunlop Graspic DS-2 I had on before had better snow traction, both on loose and packed snow. However, the Bridgestones have better ice traction, which is more important for crash avoidance. The tire is quiet and handles well. It's a good tire overall, and highly recommended.
awesome, my step son and wife are from warm weather region, I feel much better having them drive with this tire on in winter. I drive this car alot in the winter and the tires are excellent,
I bought the tires from another person with 2 seasons on them and about 1/2 tread left. I drive pretty aggressively in a car that is RWD, heavy, and 370hp. This tire is extremely impressive. It performs better on extremely slick roads then my summer tires do in the rain. This winter we've had multiple days where it was icy and some pretty heavy snow falls. I never once felt like I was going to lose it. Once traction control kicked in, the tire gripped instantly and I was in complete control. I've even pushed the car pretty hard around long sweeping corners in the snow and it barely slid. I took the car out on a day where we got 3-4" of snow on unplowed roads to see how it would handle and I was able to safely get up hills, stop, and turn. I feel safer with these tires in this car then I did in an AWD envoy denali.< br>I only have a couple complaints. Due to the higher sidewall and softer tire, there is a decent amount of roll when going around corners. There is also a noticeable amount of tire noise especially when slowing down. Not enough to prevent me from buying the tire again though. < br>Overall I am very satisfied and plan to stick with blizzaks in the future. I'm looking forward to seeing how the tires are when new.< br>
I own a rear wheel drive 2006 Mercedes E320 CDI and I purchased the Blizzak tires for winter driving in Michigan. I have been very satisfied with their performace on snow and slippery roads. I would not hesitate to purchase them again. The Tire Rack team was very helpful in my purchase. Thanks
