Brinkmann Halogen/LED Spotlight

I found this light to do the job I bought it for and was very reasonably priced. However I dropped it on a carpeted floor and it did not work again, it was not powered on at the time I dropped it. I check the halogen bulb and it did not appear to have a broken element. The led light worked OK but did not need the flashlight for the led feature. So be careful.

Upon receipt, I found it was very light, suggesting a very small battery, and therefore, as confirmed on the package, very short use time of the halogen spotlight. Nevertheless, I plugged in the charger and let it charge overnight. The next day, after approximately 10 hours on the charger, the LED light operated, but nothing whatever out of the halogen bulb. Took it back to the store and got a refund, and then, in the store, bought, for less money, a brighter Stanley rechargeable light -- doesn't have the LED lamp, but that wasn't why I bought this one in the first place.

Very well built. Holds a charge for an exceptionally long period of time and usage. The LED is ideal for most use and the bright light is fantastic. If and when I purchase another flashlight, this is what I will buy, and Walmart is where I will buy it..

I bought one and the halogen lamp didn't work after charging for 8-1/2 hours. The LED light worked fine. Returned it for credit and ordered a replacement. The AC charger didn't work on the second unit either so I tried using the DC Charger/Adapter. Again the LED light worked but the Halogen didn't work on this unit either. Too bad, I liked the design and flexibility of having the flashlight and spotlight in one unit.

I purchased one of these 4 years ago because it fit nicely in the cup holder of the passenger door on my Ford F-150. This has gone thru 4 years of abuse from 4 kids, myself and friends. We have used it for spotlighting deer / bear down at hunting camp at night, using for trailer camping, setting up camp late at night, setting up ice fishing early in the morning and general all around use. This was a great tool that lasted a long time. I had to order online to get another one after the first one broke. 4 years is a long time a spotlight to last and I'm glad I was able to find the same one again to keep the spotlight in the door cup holder in my truck.
