Brita Deluxe Pitcher 4/1ct

I bought my first Brita water pitcher from a Wal-Mart store a week ago. The water tastes kind of chemically after being filtered through the pitcher, but I guess I could live with that. The lid on the reservoir part does not fit well at all, it falls off every time I pour water from the pitcher. The reservoir part also sinks into the pitcher a bit lower than it is supposed to which causes the lid to wobble and fall off. This is totally annoying and is causing me to take it back to Wal-Mart to possibly exchange it for a different one. Also, when I pour water from the faucet into the reservoir to filter through to the bottom pitcher part, there are black flakes of junk floating around in there. It is not from the faucet because I have poured it into a glass to see if there was black flakes in there and it was clear. This leads me to believe it is from the Brita filter, I have cleaned the entire pitcher and soaked the filter part before using it so I don't know why I have this issue. I'm going to assume I have a dysfunctional one and will probably try a different pitcher from Brita.

We've had Britta pitchers before but needed a larger one. This one is excellent. Very durable and fits in the fridge with ease. We have a well and the filter removes all unwanted particles and the water tastes great!

Good price for a good product. Bigger than expected. Doesn't fit very nice in the fridge door unfortunately. Nice design.

The walmart supplied photo of the pitcher is incorrect, there is "not" a electronic filter change indicator. This is a basic filtered water picture, no other frills to it! The water pitcher is fine, and for a basic filter system there are no problems. I am exchanging mine for one that has the filter change indicator. (it is helpful to have as a reminder when to change those darn filters for best purification)

The lid to the pitcher does not fit properly. Unfortunately I had already thrown away the box and could not return it. My mother has a Brita and her lid fits. Although the functionality is not affected, I am not satisfied with a $40 pitcher that is made improperly.
