I bought the large picture in order to be able to completely fill my pets water bowls . The water tastes fine and the dogs are no longer sick from the city water . But this pitcher is designed wrong or this particular one is defective. The top falls off and the little cover over the spout falls off every time I use it. Even when I hold the top down it leaks . For $40 I expected a product that worked properly .

Some of the reviews states that the lid does not stay on - I think that has been resolved as the one I purchased a week ago stays on when pouring. The pitcher has a nice shape and capacity. I however do not like the shape of the spout. It would be better being V shaped. The solid color of the area where water is put in for filtering would be better if it were clear like the Monterey round pitcher so you can see how much water is being put in. Capacity marks in this area inside would be great also so you know how much tap water you are adding.

I have barely had this for a couple days. The lid doesn't stay on. Water pours everywhere. It's the biggest waste of money I've spent in a very very long time. I wouldn't recommend this to any single person on this planet. I've had a different brand filter for 4 years and this didn't last at all.
