We have the 162-L. The first lasted 9 year, as did the second. It's adequate but not terrific at removing odors and humidity. Easy to install.

We got this fan as a replacement for an older unit when we remodeled the bathroom. Due to space constraints, we really didn't have much choice. Unfortunately, this model is pretty noisy, and transmits noise and vibrations into the other bathroom that the exhaust runs through. After 5 years, the shaft that goes from motor to fan started to rattle, adding an annoying scraping sound to the noise. I wish we had an easy way to change the set-up and get away from this unit, but haven't found anything with a similar form factor.

Replaced a Nutone fan/heater that blew hot air on us when we got out of the shower—not pleasant. Radiant heat is much more efficient in this application. Unfortunately, the bulbs recommend with it on Amazon were worthless, and the replacement ones also disappointing. On to of that, our installation is missing the trims shown in the ad, so it's quite ugly and I'm not sure how to fix that.

I just had the heater/fan installed as part of the renovation project as the previous fan was old and noisy. Soon after the installation I found that this new one is even noisier and even worse than the old one as it constantly changes the level of noise.

According to the charts it should have been ample..until you pull the shower curtain back..then the room and mirror fog up...and now..1 year 2 months later..motor is locked up and just hums.Highly irritated as I stayed with a brand name I trusted for years of service considering it was a new install on an older home with an attic temp. of 120( plus) degrees to install it..
