We bought this bathroom fan light to replace on old one. The measurement specs gave me the info I needed to order a perfect fit. The fan was easy to install, looks good and operates well. The only negative is that it is a bit louder than I prefer for the small space. It would be helpful if the description included info on how to select a noise level. I learned it after the purchase. Overall I am pleased with this purchase. It is a good product, arrived quickly and packaged well.

Why would anyone want a very loud fan? Sure, it is cheap and people want to try it due to price. After installation, it is so loud, you wish you had NEVER HEARD OF BROAN and gone with something better. The plastic cover resonates, metal pings, and noise STATES CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP!

My reason for not giving this fan/light set a higher rating is it is rather noisy. It was harder removing the old fan compared to how easily this fan went in the same hole in the ceiling.

Good fan for small bathroom. Not too loud. Efficient enough. Price was good. My only complaint is that the plastic covering the light is tinted a terrible shade of blue that makes any bulb you put in look very harsh.

This unit was installed in 2000 and has performed flawlessly to 2013 until the motor started making noise. So much for "permanent" lubrication, but of course, under the harsh conditions of moisture, hot and cold temperature extremes, etc, can't expect everything. The good news is that I cleaned and relubricated it and it sounds like new. My biggest complaint is the "flapping" sound of the backdraft flap and the cold air that comes in because it's designed to have a small 1" opening and close in a breeze. This design I believe is somewhat flawed, so I added some counterweight to the flap and some weatherstripping to the output to better seal that opening but still allow it to open when the fan runs. Seems to work fine. Other than that, I don't think it's too noisy normally, but I know there are quieter ones. Biggest thing is to clean it routinely. I hadn't cleaned it in 5 years and it was really gunked up with dust. I spent more time cleaning it thoroughly than getting the fan and flap re-worked. 3 hours later and we're back to normal.
